What goes in the wax

The base is a clean-burning natural wax blend chosen for a slow, even melt and a wick that stays honest to the last hour. No paraffin, no petroleum shortcuts, nothing that leaves a black halo on your ceiling.

Scent comes from botanical and resin extracts — the actual plants, pressed and distilled — not a lab's impression of them. That is why the top note reads bright and the base reads like real wood and resin instead of a candle-shop cliché.

How to burn it right

  1. The first burn sets the memory Let it burn until the whole top layer is liquid — usually two to three hours. Wax has a memory; a short first burn teaches it to tunnel and waste half the jar.
  2. Trim before every light Keep the wick around a quarter inch. A long wick smokes, mushrooms, and throws soot instead of scent.
  3. Give it room to work Scent needs air to travel. Burn in a closed-ish room for ten minutes before you decide it isn't strong enough — it almost always is.
  4. Know when to stop Put it out with half an inch of wax left. Below that, the flame runs hot against the glass with nothing left to say.
